Marketing is all about getting the right product, at the right price, selling it at the right place through effective promotion. This is known as the marketing mix or the four ps. When effectively combined these enable a leisure organisation to achieve its marketing objectives.

A good marketing mix means an organisation:

  • Offers a product that current or potential customers want
  • Make sure the customer can purchase the product in a particular place that is accessible
  • Promotes the product so current or potential customers know about it
  • Offers the product at a price that the customer will pay

If an organisation does not get the right product to the right person at the price at the right time then the organisation will fail in successfully marketing a product.
